Sasha Bult-Ito

A "commanding artist at the keyboard" whose performances are "brilliant and utterly convincing" (David Jaeger, Order of Canada), Alaskan pianist SASHA BULT-ITO made her solo debut at age seven with the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra. She has since appeared on stages across the United States, Canada, and Europe, among them Carnegie Hall, Koerner Hall, and at a G7 Summit event for international dignitaries, and is in high demand as a chamber collaborator.
"Her exceptional expressive and technical resources allow her to create brilliant and utterly convincing performances. She is ideal as both a soloist and chamber musician."
David Jaeger, composer, Member of the Order of Canada
As a soloist, Sasha has appeared with the Brunensis Virtuosi Orchestra at MusicFest Perugia in Italy, as well as the Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra and Juno Award-winning Sinfonia Toronto in Canada, among others. She has also performed at the Internationaler Klaviersommer Cochem Meisterkurg in Germany, John Perry Academy Summer Piano Festival, and Southeastern Piano Festival, and been heard on Interlochen Public Radio, KUAC's Alaska Live with Lori Neufeld, and on the CBC's About Time with Tom Allen. Her adoration for chamber performance has led to appearances at the Scotia Festival in Canada, Northern Lights Music Festival in Mexico, and Emerald Coast Chamber Music Festival in Florida, alongside such musicians as violinist Nancy Zhou, violist Masumi Rostad, cellists Noémie Raymond and Stéphane Tétrault, and pianist William Chapman Nyaho. In 2021 and 2025 she recorded as a collaborative pianist for the Royal Conservatory of Music's Violin and Voice series, contributing to the definitive music library for the RCM Certificate Program examinations.
Invested in piano and chamber music education, she has been a masterclass artist and clinician at the University of Tulsa, Harding Fine Arts Academy, Colorado Springs and Albuquerque Youth Symphonies, and maintains a teaching studio in Kansas City. Her teaching emphasizes curiosity, creativity, and healthy approaches to both physical and mental aspects of performance.
